OKAY I am doing a assignment for school on Ukraine and this is a BIG HUGE part of my grade!!
I have a few questions....
What are some popular jobs in Ukraine?
What are some major landforms and waterways that people afflict?
What is the climate like?
AND if there is any other info that you know about Ukraine...

Just like anywhere: there're a lot of occupations and people do a lot of jobs. There are teachers, workers, software developers (like me), bus and drive drivers, farmers, policemen, accountants, lawyers, salespersons, janitors, martial arts trainers - whatever you like :)

I am planning a sabbatical/furlough/adventure and want to go someplace totally different from America. Many countries have come to mind and consideration but a chum told me to consider Russia/Ukraine. Any thoughts or experiences that people want to share?
I have travelled alone to kiev. I found it OK but you need to be wise in the night time. Common sense is need alot..Many not many speak english of conduct but there are places that do.. I stayed at the hotel Ukraina dont stay there if thinking of a hotel, I never backpacked there and for me i would not.. I had airport over and glad i did the taxis will rip you off or ingore you.. There was things to do but after 7 days pleased to leave it behind.. Is differnet yes! can be hard and can be interesting.. I am pleased i saw it even if it was not for long and saw little of the country..Just research the place good before you leave... What ever you choose use your holiday!
