Women In The Soviet Army - Soviet - Want to learn more about Russia? And can buy?

Does anyone know if there were any women in the nazi and soviet army?

If that was the example in any event, could they become officers?
Please don't be machos. I want true and smart answers
Can I get more details? And how about in
nazi Germany???

Soviets had a moral-female night time light bomber unit, called somewhat like witches, flying Po-2 Kukuruznik

they regularly had females within the armored units, but in the infantry, too.

Germans generally expected their women to work in factories, and raise the new formulation of their soldiers for the thousand year Reich.

I remember reading of one female rocket plane pilot, she participated in the V-1 conversion into the suicide shell. dont know the name.

Generally, Russians had much more females deployed than Germans.

edit> i believe the German airwoman was Hanna Reitsch - she is mentioned in the Wings of Luftwaffe by Cpt. Brown as a pilot of the Me 163 rocket fighter.

How many women were soldiers in the US Army, Soviet Army, Nazi Army, Italian Army in World War Two?

Everyone but the U.S. had women fighting for them. Until recently U.S. women didn't go into controversy as fighters. The numbers are impossible t calculate since Germany, Italy and Russia didn't keep those kind of records. You could very likely Google U.S. women in WW2 and find out some sort of stat.

Jeremy Scahill is a Tool

Unrelenting ideologies suck. If I haven't made it abundantly clear in earlier posts, I hate ideological thinking. What do I malicious by this? Ideological thinking is when a person clings so tightly to their preconceived worldview that they shape all situations to this paradigm even if facts say otherwise. Inopportune facts are ignored. Convenient facts are exaggerated and given undo prominence.

Investigative journalist Jeremy Scahill is a precise case of this type of thinking. Although I found his book on Blackwater and private military contracting (Blackwater: The Rise of the In all respects's Most Powerful Mercenary Army) insightful and important, his views on U.S. foreign policy, especially when it comes to Afghanistan and Pakistan (or Af-Pak for gruff), conform to a familiar anti-imperialist ideology.

In Scahill's mind, almost everything the U.S. engages in abroad is evil and imperialistic: Facts be damned!

And facts have agreeably been damned by Scahill when it comes to Af-Pak, as we can see from his June 5th appearance on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher. The full clips of his time on the show can be found here, here, here, and here.

What follows are the statements I take controversy with. I'll be clear here, however. There are legitimate arguments and viewpoints that can come out against the U.S. occupation of Afghanistan and policies toward and within Pakistan. Yet, Scahill's viewpoints on this affair are simply untrue. This is what infuriates me more than anything: not the position in and of itself but rather how that position is sustained and defended.

So let's get started!

Scahill said "Bombings in Pakistan with these drones are indiscriminately punishing civilians....
