There is a cunning lake found underneath the ice in Antarctica. The surface at Vostok is officaily the coldest place on earth. Do you think there is life there, and if yes, what do you take will be found?
If it hasn't been found yet, I'm undeviating that there are plenty of bacteria down there. There search I link to below is a pubmed result of looking for "vostok bacteria". It seems that in the ice above the lake they find bacteria, suggesting that one odds is that the bacteria were originally in the lake.

The lowest temperature recorded was -128.6 F (-89.2 C) in Vostok. I'm by a hair's breadth curious since there were people there. What if they went outside? Would they die instantly or at least a couple mins? And what would be the max temperature a human could handle before the air is to polar to breath? -30? -50? -70? etc....
In one of these untiringly man survivalist TV shows someone spent a night in a tent in a tent in the coldest inhabited place on earth (which is is Russia, I have the courage of one's convictions pretend Siberia).
With the aid of modern clothing (he did it in something called an absolute zero suit) a REALLY thick sleeping bag and a camera party checking on him every hour or so he made it. But he didn't have a very good night.
There are no natural temperatures on earth where death is instantaneous. But some are very clever - if you fall into the arctic sea you have minutes to live.
