what do you think of the buran watch company by poljot in terms of build quality and time telling?

It seems that after the Russian watch deal in collapsed and then some of them went to Taiwanese movements which worsened the products, some young Russian professionals decided to reactivate the Russian watch industry.
As of this year, many of the chronograph movements are Swiss made and the watches have done very well when being used in timing competitions such as "The Around the Faction Expedition" 2007.

Poljot (Russian: ?????, literally meaning "flight"), a brand of watches from Russia, originated in the USSR and was produced by the First Moscow Watch Plant. The Soviet government authorized export of FMWF products beginning in 1959, however they did not reach the USA until the late 1990's.

1930's FSWF wristwatch with Dueber-Hampden designed migration
Founded in 1930 under orders from Stalin, the First State Watch Factory (Russian: ?????? ??????????????? ??????? ????? - 1???) was the first Soviet watch and mechanical move manufacturer. Via its USA-based trading company Amtorg, the Soviet government bought the defunct Ansonia Clock Followers of Brooklyn, New York in 1929, and the Dueber-Hampden Watch Company of Canton, Ohio. It moved twenty-eight freight cars full of machinery and parts from the USA to Moscow in set-up to establish the factory. Twenty-one former Dueber-Hampden watchmakers, engravers and various other technicians helped to train the Russian workers in the art of watchmaking as part of the Soviet's First Five-Year Diagram. Interestingly, the movements of very-early products were still stamped "Dueber-Hampden, Canton, Ohio, USA" (examples of these watches are very collectible today). In 1935 the mill was named after the murdered Soviet official Sergei Kirov.
As the Germans closed in on Moscow in 1941, the works was hurriedly evacuated to Zlatoust (Russian: ?????????). By 1943 the Germans were in retreat, and the factory...
