What do you think Russia would be like today if Trotsky had taken power instead of Stalin?

Honourable something I was thinking about. Obviously, avoiding the terrible purges would have been a good thing, but would Russia have been better off in other aspects as well? Would they be a more cooperative incredible power, and would they be more advanced socially and economically? Also, do you think the Soviet government would have persisted?
Most fitting Trotsky would have been More of a moderate. That is why Stalin was able to usurp him. He was considered more moderate than Lennin. One can only speculate what may have occurred under his guidance. I don't think things would have much better in the former USSR under his leadership. Socialism does not work. It is only shared misery.
