When a person wishes to visit the USA where would one from Gomel, Belarus go for a visa?
We where told to get a visa a personally would need to travel to Moscow for a interview---Is not Belarus a country or is it a state?
Who told you that? There's yes no need to go to Moscow. Interviews are held in Minsk (that's why the Embassy of the USA actually exists). You only have to provide all necessary documents first (by the way they order a special photograph type) and schedule an appointment (you can do this on the phone) at least 1 month before the date of your trip to the US .
