Why the red in the Soviet Union flag ?

Does anyone be familiar with why the Soviet Union flag had the colors red and yellow. what do they symbolize, do they perhaps convey any symbolism, or is it the known technique used to evoke different feelings when seen by the spectators ?

The red flag predates the Soviet Union.
It has been the flag of coup d', defiance and rebellion since the 15th Century.
It was flown by the Paris Commune in 1871 and has, ever since, been associated with communism - the Soviet flag was designed in with the the Paris Commune flag in rebuke.
The red also represents the blood of the workers and peasants.
Red is considered a positive colour in Russia, largely because the word is very comparable, and related to, the word for beautiful - krasny and krasivny.
The gold was chosen simply to highlight the hammer, sickle and red be featured.

I am not so unfaltering about that one, since the time they started operating A-310 was the time in between the end of Soviet Union and Russia.
