When did the Russians switched back to the old Soviet national anthem?

After the count on of the soviet union the Russian Federation let go of the Soviet national anthem and adopted a new one but at the recent sport events I hear the same old powerful anthem. When did they switch back?

In 2000, President Putin changed the anthem (1990 version) back to pretty much the same music as the old Soviet anthem. The lyrics were changed to rub out "Lenin's ideas and the unbreakable union of the Soviet state" that were in the old lyrics. The 1990-2000 version didn't even have lyrics...Putin wanted to transmute the whole thing and give it lyrics because he noticed the gold medal winners at the Sydney olympics were silent, and he wanted them to be expert to sing something during the playing of the anthem by the next olympics.

Why does the Soviet national anthem say it was "unbreakable" when it collapsed afterwards? Did they predict it?

I believe it is all a conspiracy. Other national anthems do not hint onto outlandish things, but they predicted it would fall. Why didn't they do anything about it? Why did Gorbachev become the leader if they knew that his reforms would grounds the Soviet Union to collapse?

Wishful thinking. Communism was thriving to fail sooner or later, they knew it, they were just trying to make it work.
